This 22-unit, single-building T-hangar construction included concrete foundations and slab, hangar construction, incoming electrical service and transformer, partial air-field fencing, and electrical systems. The most important challenges were installing the new building footings on a 1% length, and 1/4% cross-slope to follow the taxiway grade. Each of the 78 pier foundations were at a different elevation. The tops of the completed foundations were surveyed prior to erecting the building… and were within 1/8” of design elevation! The completed T-hanger project has been a welcome addition to the Airport.
